The colors of music

Music has as many colors as a box of crayons, an array of paint on a palette and the vibrant hues in a rainbow.  Feast your ears on a program designed for the everyday music-lover to show how a string quartet can play more than just classical music.

Like an art museum guide, the narrator will take you from gallery to gallery of musical paintings, an assortment of familiar favorites.  There are collections of songs from whimsical to Americana, from romantic to historical.  Be ready for some surprises and musical humor.  The quartet even has some colorful costume changes, to get into character.

There is something for everyone with selections of bouncy Bach and light Mozart to flowing Viennese waltzes.  Blues, ragtime, jazz, rock-and-roll explode with character along with our wildly popular Broadway show tunes and movie themes.

Learn how to conduct!  Whistle along while we play “Whistle a Happy Tune”.  Click your fingers to “I Got Rhythm”.  From elegance to the informal fun of audience participation, the evening is sure to uplift and make you feel a part of the music.  Highlight your night with an array of spectacular, musical, colors.
