OUR STANDARD "CALL TIME"
HOW EARLY WILL ARTISTS GET TO REHEARSALS AND CONCERTS?

“Call time” is 20 minutes prior to a performance.

This does not mean extra rehearsal time unless it was in the original agreement when musicians were hired.

When I hire them, I give them all the details of the job and this is what they agree to.

Rules should not change once contracted for the original price quotes.
WHAT IF REHEARSAL GOES OVER THE AGREED CONTRACTED TIME?

If rehearsals go past the agreed end-time and players have availability to stay, overtime payment will be expected in their paychecks.

COSTS

Contracting Fees
The fee for contracting is $110 plus $10 per person.
For example: 8 players is $190.

If there are 3 or less players it is $25 per person.
For example: 1 person = $25, 2 people = $50, 3 people = $75

Discount-
There is a $10 discount if Sharon books and plays the job.  (In other words, if I am playing too, it's one less person that I need to contact, to hire.)

Date changes-

If your originally scheduled date changes, I have to recontact and sometimes rehire players in addition to revising cover sheets and invoices.

Therefore, there is additional charge for any date changes of- the original fee plus half again.

Date is cancelled-

If for any reason the concert gets cancelled, you will still owe my contracting fee.  Canceling or rescheduling should be a very last means of  action.  Musicians turn down other jobs to play yours.  To prevent a (double) loss of income, canceling should be considered as a last choice.

When is the contracting fee due?

The bill for contracting will come in the mail with your orchestra roster.  It is due up front, upon receipt.

Playing Fees/Musicians

The current pay scale is $95.00* for a 2½-hour service, which

includes a 10-minute break.

This rate applies even if you do not use the full 2½ hours.

A rehearsal and concert are 2 separate services even when back to back on the same day.

These prices assure quality artists, reliability and supportive enthusiasm.  Remember!! These artists are in demand by many different clients.  You want to attract the cream of the crop!  If fees are not competitive, we can lose players to other jobs that pay more.

*(There is an exception to this $95 fee.  Harp players are more expensive.  I can get you their current fees if interested.)

HOW IS OVERTIME CALCULATED FOR REHEARSAL?
If rehearsals go past agreed end-time, and players have availability to stay, overtime payment is pro-rated based on $40 per person, per hour, in 15 minute intervals.

If a service goes over – up to 15 minutes = $10 per person

If a service goes over – up to 30 minutes = $20 per person

If a service goes over – up to 45 minutes = $30 per person

If a service goes over – up to 60 minutes = $40 per person

TIME-SAVING HINTS

Providing tempo markings and cuts will save time, and  therefore money, in rehearsals.

This is also respectful to musicians, saving precious practice time at home and allowing them to focus on sections that are needed.

RECORDING

This cannot be done without permission of players and/or possible extra fees.

NOTE
If any musician cancels at the last minuet, you will be  provided with a qualified replacement.
WHEN IS PAYMENT FOR CONCERTS DUE?

We ask that checks be on the music stands by the beginning of the last concert.

(Sometimes people have to leave right afterwards.)
